Fortune's Weave Players Have One Expansion Pass Question: Buy Wave 1 or Wait?

Three independent channels moved beyond the announcement within a day: one documented the full Wave 1 route, one assessed the available content, and one challenged whether the pass feels like cut content. The practical question is narrower than the argument: do four prototype weapons solve a task you want now, or should you wait for later waves?

The sample supports a buy-now-or-wait decision. It does not prove community consensus, the long-term power of the weapons or the value of unreleased waves.

Capture boundary

Targeted YouTube search captured Oct 16, 2026 at 14:29 Beijing time after Nintendo published the Wave 1 notice. Three current, non-live, long-form videos from three independent channels were selected; official trailers, full-game videos, Shorts, livestreams and replays were excluded.

The useful question is timing, not whether more DLC exists

Sirloin published a full Wave 1 walkthrough, GEAK focused on what is available now, and Nintendo Forecast asked whether the pass resembles cut content. The formats differ, but all three place the same purchase boundary in front of players: the pass is on sale before most of its promised content is playable.

Their visible counts ranged from 160 to 8,507 at capture. Those counts are snapshots, not votes. The repeated timing question matters because a player can make it testable: name the current weapon or route you want, then decide whether that task alone justifies buying before Waves 2 and 3 arrive.

Buy for the four weapons now; wait for everything else

Nintendo says Wave 1 is available now and adds prototype weapons for the four heroes, modeled after Heroes' Relics from Fire Emblem: Three Houses. That is the complete current-content claim supported by the official notice; it does not announce new story chapters, allies or classes in Wave 1.

Wave 2 is scheduled for winter 2026 with the gods Aurora, Smyrnos and Jurah plus new outfits. Wave 3 is scheduled for 2027 with new stories, additional allies, class types and more. If your reason for buying is one of those later additions, waiting removes uncertainty without blocking the base game.

  • Buy now only if at least one of the four prototype weapons is a current play goal.
  • Wait if gods, outfits, stories, allies or classes are the feature you actually want.
  • Recheck the installed game version and Expansion Pass entitlement before troubleshooting missing Wave 1 content.

Nintendo confirms the roadmap; value and balance remain unsettled

Nintendo confirms three waves, their broad contents and release windows. It also states that the full base game is required and that individual waves cannot be purchased separately.

The official notice does not establish weapon strength, a universal best route, total playtime or the final quality of unreleased content. Creator walkthroughs can demonstrate the live acquisition path and early use, but they cannot settle value for every save or predict later balance changes.

Editorial read: judge the pass on what you can use today. Treat the winter 2026 and 2027 roadmap as a reason to wait, not as already delivered value.
