Counter-Strike 2 Major Championship

Majors are Valve-sanctioned Counter-Strike championships. IEM and BLAST also operate global circuits, but not every stop is a Major.

Correction

A CS2 Major is a Valve-sanctioned event class, not one single annual tournament. IEM and BLAST are organizer circuits with both Major and non-Major events.

2026 official status

What is confirmed now

Valve's official Counter-Strike news identifies IEM Cologne 2026 as a Major. The event concluded in June.

Why this event matters

Its place in the global calendar

Major status is the clearest marker of Counter-Strike's top official championship tier; organizer circuit branding is a separate layer.
