Direct answer

Touhou Koumakyou: New Classic is available for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and Steam as a single-player game. Standard includes New Classic and Classic. Deluxe adds a Digital Sound Player App on consoles, while Steam includes a soundtrack instead. Steam lists Windows 10 or 11 64-bit, Core i5-8350U, 4 GB RAM, UHD Graphics 620, DirectX 11 and 1 GB storage as minimum requirements.

Evidence boundary: checked against current official pages on September 10, 2026. Old-version walkthrough steps and unlisted technical claims are not treated as New Classic facts.

Do this first

  1. 01
Choose Switch 2, Switch, PlayStation 5 or Steam before comparing prices.
  2. 02
Confirm the regional store date and price because Steam and the official site can display different calendar dates by region.
  3. 03
Buy Standard when only both game versions are needed.
  4. 04
Buy Deluxe only after checking whether the console sound-player app or Steam soundtrack is the bonus you want.
  5. 05
On PC, compare the published minimum specification with the actual machine and leave storage headroom beyond the listed 1 GB.

Confirmed platforms and release state

The official site lists Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and Steam and marks the game as available now. It dates the release to September 10, 2026, while Steam displays September 9 in the reviewed regional listing.

Treat that one-day difference as a regional store-calendar boundary, not proof of two different game launches. Use the local storefront as the purchase-time authority.

Standard and Deluxe are not different games

Standard includes New Classic and Classic. Deluxe includes the same main-game content and adds a Digital Sound Player App on console storefronts.

For Steam, the official page says a soundtrack playable within Steam replaces the Digital Sound Player App. Do not buy Deluxe expecting an additional campaign or a third gameplay mode.

Language boundary

The product supports Japanese, English, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Korean, French, German, two Spanish variants, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese and Italian.

That language list applies to the product, but Classic itself keeps all text in Japanese. Players who need another interface language should use New Classic.

Published Steam minimum requirements

Steam lists a 64-bit Windows 10 or Windows 11 system, Intel Core i5-8350U, 4 GB RAM, Intel UHD Graphics 620, DirectX 11 and 1 GB of available storage.

No full recommended specification is published beyond the 64-bit processor and operating-system requirement. The listing also does not establish Steam Deck verification, a fixed frame-rate for every device or cross-save between platforms.
