What happened

EA published the Update 1 notes on September 11 after the patch went live September 10 at 3pm ET.

The notes separate gameplay adjustments from mode, interface and stability fixes.

The practical change: Install the update before diagnosing AI, Franchise or HUT behavior, then reproduce the issue on the current build.

What is confirmed

  • Gameplay AI behavior received adjustments.
  • Franchise commissioners can force overtime or shootout wins.
  • A cross-play filter was added to Find League.
  • HUT fixes include reward-path behavior, captain compatibility and the option to skip some animations.

What this means for players

League commissioners have more direct control over game-ending results.

Players should not judge a recurring bug from an unpatched client.

What is still unconfirmed

EA does not claim that every balance issue or platform-specific crash is resolved by this update.
