Minecraft Dungeons II Capes & Promo Codes

Direct answer

The three time-sensitive paths are different: the Hero Cape requires playing Minecraft Dungeons I and logging into Dungeons II by December 31, 2026; the Twisted Cape comes from a pre-order confirmed in Dungeons II after launch; and the Corrupted Creeper Cape requires a qualifying TikTok or Twitch watch quest completed by September 26 at 11:59 PM PST.

Promotion scope reviewed September 25, 2026: Minecraft Dungeons II launches September 29, the Corrupted Creeper watch quest is still listed through September 26 at 11:59 PM PST, and the Hero Cape deadline is December 31, 2026. Reward processing may be delayed and regional restrictions may apply.

Quick preparation

1. 01
Choose the exact reward first; each cape has a different qualifying action and deadline.
2. 02
Use one Microsoft account for the qualifying game, Minecraft Dungeons II and any Java or Bedrock unlock.
3. 03
For a physical pre-order, redeem the included platform code before checking the reward in Dungeons II.
4. 04
Confirm the reward inside Dungeons II first, then open Java or Bedrock on the same account when cross-game cape delivery applies.
5. 05
If a reward is missing, preserve the code or quest receipt, platform, account and completion time before contacting support.

Hero Cape: Dungeons I ownership path

Play Minecraft Dungeons I, then sign into Minecraft Dungeons II with the same Microsoft account before December 31, 2026. Game Pass play qualifies according to Mojang's official FAQ, but geography, balance and service restrictions can still apply.

Wait until Dungeons II shows that the cape can be equipped. Only after that confirmation should you open Minecraft: Java Edition or Bedrock Edition on the same Microsoft account to check the linked cape unlock.

• Qualifying action: play Minecraft Dungeons I.
• Deadline: log into Minecraft Dungeons II by December 31, 2026.
• Account rule: use the same Microsoft account across the games.
• Cross-game check: confirm Dungeons II first, then Java and/or Bedrock.

Twisted Cape: digital or physical pre-order path

A qualifying pre-order provides the Twisted Cape. After launch, sign into the Microsoft account used for Dungeons II and confirm that the pre-order items were acquired. The cape can then be checked in Java and Bedrock on that same account.

Physical copies add one step: locate the code inside the package and redeem it on the platform account first. Mojang points Xbox users to xbox.com/redeem, Nintendo users to ec.nintendo.com/redeem, and PlayStation users to the store profile's Redeem Code action.

• Digital pre-order: launch Dungeons II after release and confirm the items on the purchasing account.
• Physical pre-order: redeem the included code on the matching platform before launching the game.
• Cross-game check: once Dungeons II confirms the Twisted Cape, open Java or Bedrock with the same Microsoft account.

Corrupted Creeper Cape: watch quest

Mojang lists the watch quest from September 21 at 12:00 PM PST through September 26 at 11:59 PM PST. TikTok requires at least three minutes on a Game Rewards-enabled live Minecraft stream; Twitch requires at least 15 minutes in a live stream in the Minecraft category.

After the qualifying watch time, check Twitch inventory or TikTok notifications, then redeem the reward in Minecraft Dungeons II. Do not assume a normal video, an unsupported TikTok live stream or a stream outside the Minecraft category will count.

• TikTok: three minutes on a Game Rewards-enabled live Minecraft stream.
• Twitch: 15 minutes on a live stream in the Minecraft category.
• Deadline: September 26, 2026 at 11:59 PM PST, as written by Mojang.
• Receipt: retain the inventory or notification evidence until the in-game redemption succeeds.

Missing reward diagnosis

First separate eligibility from delivery. Check the correct reward, deadline, Microsoft account, platform code and watch-quest receipt. Then confirm whether Dungeons II itself shows the reward; Java or Bedrock cannot prove that the Dungeons II entitlement completed.

Mojang warns that confirmations can be delayed or encounter technical issues. If every condition is satisfied, keep the Microsoft account, platform, reward name, completion time and proof available for customer support. Do not repeat a one-use physical code or create a second account as a workaround.

• Wrong cape or deadline: return to the matching acquisition path above.
• Wrong Microsoft account: sign back into the qualifying account on every linked game.
• Physical code rejected: verify the platform and preserve the original insert and error message.
• Watch reward absent: check the qualifying live category, required minutes and inventory/notification receipt.
• Dungeons II reward present but Java/Bedrock absent: reopen the target edition on the same account and allow for processing delay before contacting support.
