How Long Is Pragmata? Game Length and New Game Plus

Plan a first run, understand what the available playtime evidence can and cannot prove, and choose between Unknown Signal and New Game Plus after the credits.

Direct answer

Capcom does not publish an official campaign length. One named first-hand completion report places a normal campaign at about 10–12 hours and says optional exploration can extend the total toward 20 hours; use that as a planning range, not a universal promise. After a clear, independent post-game reporting confirms both Unknown Signal and New Game Plus. Check Unknown Signal before starting NG+ if you want the post-game missions on the completed save.

Evidence boundary: The runtime and post-game details below are independent editorial observations, not Capcom specifications. Times vary with difficulty, exploration and puzzle speed.

Do this first

  1. 01
Budget roughly 10–12 hours for a normal first campaign, with extra time for optional rooms and completion goals.
  2. 02
Do not treat the planning range as a speedrun target or an official Capcom runtime.
  3. 03
Keep the completed save when the credits finish.
  4. 04
Open Unknown Signal first if the goal is the post-game mission layer on that save.
  5. 05
Start New Game Plus when the goal is replaying the campaign with carried progression.

A useful planning range, not a fixed duration

The official Capcom and storefront pages explain the premise, combat system and product contents but do not state how long the campaign takes. MonsterSnow therefore does not label any runtime as official.

Tom's Guide describes a completed PS5 Pro campaign as taking 10–12 hours and says a run with optional extras can reach roughly 20 hours. This is one first-hand editorial result. Your total can move with difficulty, failed encounters, exploration and hacking-puzzle speed.

  • Main-path planning range: about 10–12 hours
  • Optional and completion play: potentially closer to 20 hours
  • Official Capcom runtime: not published

What unlocks after the first clear

VGC's completed-game guide reports that the first clear unlocks Unknown Signal and New Game Plus. Unknown Signal continues from the completed save and adds a Hidden Chamber with ten simulation missions.

New Game Plus restarts the story while carrying over upgrade progress. Repeatable stage items return, while one-time progression items remain recorded as collected according to that guide.

Which post-game route to choose first

Choose Unknown Signal first when you want the new challenge missions and post-game follow-up without immediately resetting the campaign path. Keep a separate save before making a replay decision.

Choose New Game Plus when you want to revisit the campaign with the build you earned. MonsterSnow has not independently tested every carry-over category, so the completed-save backup is the safe boundary.

What this page does not claim

This is not a review score, speedrun route or promise that every player will finish in the same window. It also does not claim that every collectible or story-critical item carries into NG+.

The official product pages remain the authority for the game and platform features; the time and post-game sections are explicitly attributed to independent, first-hand guides.
