What happened

EA published the notes on September 2 for the next day's update.

The patch covers gameplay, Dynasty, Team Builder, Road to Glory, Ultimate Team and presentation fixes.

The practical change: Retest man coverage and route separation after installing the title update instead of carrying forward pre-patch timing assumptions.

What is confirmed

  • Default pass-lead distance on downfield throws is extended.
  • Elite Route Runners receive the intended Zig cut and receivers accelerate better after winning a jostle.
  • EA Sports Network appears in offline or online Dynasty and throughout Road to Glory.
  • New Legends templates are added to Road to Glory.

What this means for players

Passing against man coverage should behave differently in the exact situations named by EA.

Career players gain more contextual stories, previews and post-game recaps inside the existing news area.

What is still unconfirmed

EA does not claim that man coverage is universally weaker or publish a single best post-patch playbook.

What to do next

  1. 01
    Update before comparing coverage results.
  2. 02
Test the same route against the same look to isolate the patch change.
  3. 03
Use the in-game Network tab for career stories rather than treating every presentation item as gameplay tuning.
