League outlines team voice rollout, Classic changes and a new Ranked 5s run

What happened

Riot published a TL;DW and official developer video on September 8.

The update gives patch targets for the first voice rollout, Classic additions and Ranked 5s changes.

The practical change: Treat NA and Oceania as the initial voice rollout only, and check your live client before assuming the feature is available on another server.

What is confirmed

• Team voice is planned for NA and Oceania in Patch 26.20.
• Riot says speaking access will be connected to Honor level and supported by moderation tools.
• Poppy, Xin Zhao, Shyvana, Galio and Fiora join Classic in Patch 26.18.
• Ranked 5s returns in Patch 26.18 with a strategic draft and a wider weekend queue window.

What this means for players

Premade-only voice and whole-team voice should not be treated as the same availability state.

Classic economy and Ranked 5s drafting changes affect preparation before the next queues open.

What is still unconfirmed

Riot has not confirmed every future voice region or a universal rollout date.

What to do next

1. 01
Check your server and patch before enabling team voice.
2. 02
Review Honor requirements in the live client.
3. 03
Use the Patch 26.18 notes for final Classic and Ranked 5s details.
