What happened

The developer published version 0.4.8 notes through Steam on September 11.

The notice recommends updating servers and clients and explicitly says no wipe is required.

The practical change: Update both server and client, keep the existing save, and verify custom keybindings after the control changes.

What is confirmed

  • A health-lock option was added.
  • Tools deal more damage to stone.
  • C and V keybindings changed, and passengers can use F to exit.
  • The map-road rebuild does not require a wipe.

What this means for players

Existing worlds can continue after the terrain-network update.

Server and client version mismatch can complicate testing of the new behavior.

What is still unconfirmed

The patch notes do not guarantee compatibility with every mod or custom server configuration.

What to do next

Back up the world through the game's normal process.
  2. 02
    Update server and clients together.
  3. 03
Recheck keybindings before entering combat or a vehicle.
