PlayStation publishes August 2026's most-downloaded games

What happened

PlayStation published the August 2026 download charts on September 4.

The post splits results by region and platform category.

The practical change: Use the chart as a regional store-demand signal, then check the relevant game's current store and guide page rather than treating downloads as review scores.

What is confirmed

• The charts cover US/Canada and Europe.
• Madden NFL 27 and Marvel Tōkon appear at the top of the covered US/Canada PS5 results.
• Call of Duty: Black Ops II leads the covered European PS5 list.
• Zero Company and Mortal Shell II both appear in the regional PS5 rankings.

What this means for players

The chart can identify games with current store activity, but it cannot establish satisfaction or long-term demand.

Regional rank differences make one global popularity label inaccurate.

What is still unconfirmed

PlayStation does not present these rankings as search volume, active-player counts or review scores.

What to do next

1. 01
   Choose the correct regional table.
2. 02
Open the game's current product page.
3. 03
Verify release and platform facts from the game publisher before planning a guide.
