Direct answer
There is no complete official fish-and-lure table with verified rates. Build your log from the current version: record the island, lure or method, creature, rare variant, sell result and whether the catch survived a second test.
Official facts come from Dazed Games, the Steam store and developer patch notes. Exact catch rates, spawn tables, prices and damage values are omitted when the current official material does not publish them.
Quick route
- 01Choose one island and change only one lure or catch method at a time.
- 02Record the creature, variant, time spent and sell result.
- 03Repeat the same setup before calling it a reliable match.
- 04Recheck any rare-fish advice after a balance patch.
What is officially confirmed
Dazed Games confirms that the collection includes many creatures and rare variants. The release trailer also shows named discoveries, including a Drip Shrimp, and the current achievement set tracks drip creatures.
That confirms the collection goal, not a universal spawn table. Exact probabilities, perfect lure pairings and island-wide completion counts are not published in the official material reviewed for this guide.
Use a controlled catch log
A useful log keeps the conditions visible. Record island, nearby landmark, lure or tool, creature, variant, value and game version. If several variables change together, the result cannot tell you which choice mattered.
Repeat successful setups. One lucky catch is evidence that a method can work; a second and third result make it useful advice.
- Island and landmark.
- Lure, rod or alternate catch method.
- Creature and rare variant.
- Time or attempts required.
- Sell value in the current version.
Rare variants and achievement cleanup
Separate ordinary progression from rare-variant hunting. Unlock the route and stabilize your gear first, then return with a checklist so one missing discovery does not interrupt every boss attempt.
Patch 1.0.5 fixed the achievement for catching all drip creatures. If an older save appears complete but the achievement did not trigger, confirm the installed patch before repeating the entire collection.
Patch-sensitive creature advice
Patch 1.0.10 slightly nerfed the Anglerfish. That single balance note is enough to reject permanent tier claims: creature pressure can change, and a route recorded before the patch may no longer represent the current build.
Keep version numbers beside difficult catches and boss-like creatures. Update the affected line instead of rewriting an entire collection page from memory.
Official release trailer
The trailer confirms the co-op tone, physics-driven catches, weapons, boss encounters and revives. Treat footage as visual context; the current patch notes override early-build balance or interface details.
