Dragonwilds 1.0 Crossplay: Host a World and Invite Friends

Create or load a crossplay world, find its invite code and separate hosting choices from unsupported universal platform claims.

Direct answer: Enable crossplay in the in-game world menu each time you host a multiplayer world. Friends can find crossplay worlds in the world browser or enter the invite code there; the host sees the code in the pause menu. Dedicated servers have a crossplay option too.

Do this first

  1. 01
Confirm every player's platform is supported by the 1.0 release.
  2. 02
Load or create the host world in multiplayer mode.
  3. 03
Choose the crossplay option for this hosting session.
  4. 04
Read the invite code in the host's pause menu.
  5. 05
Have friends enter that code in the world browser; verify the world actually appears.

Set the world choice deliberately

Jagex's 1.0 notes say worlds can be enabled for crossplay when loaded. Hosts can choose crossplay or not each time they host a multiplayer world. Do not assume a previously selected world automatically exposes the same access setting next session.

The launch also lists crossplay for dedicated servers. A friend failing to find a world is not evidence that their game platform is excluded; first check the host's current setting and world browser.

Use the code rather than guessing discovery

The host's invite code appears in the pause menu, and guests enter it in the world browser. Confirm you are using the code for the current world rather than an earlier session.

Crossplay worlds are displayed in the browser. If a guest cannot join, compare their game versions and the host's selected world option before rebuilding progress or claiming a wider service outage.

Split a first session into clear jobs

A first co-op session works best with one host and a simple agreement on gathering, shelter and the next shared quest. The 1.0 announcement documents broad survival and expansion systems, but does not publish a universal optimal starter route.

Make sure each player knows which world stores the group's ongoing progress. Treat platform menus as the source for prompts because console and PC controls can differ.

Troubleshoot without destroying the world

If the join flow fails, return to the world browser, verify that crossplay was enabled at load, then recopy the current pause-menu invite code. Check whether a dedicated server has its own crossplay setting.

Jagex does not claim in these notes that every platform has identical user-interface labels or that all saved worlds transfer between storefront accounts. Those questions need separate platform documentation.
