Star Wars Zero Company Is Available Now

EA and Bit Reactor have published their launch message. The useful news is not merely that the game shipped: the release FAQ now confirms the campaign rules, PC requirements and settings players must choose before starting.

What happened

Bit Reactor published “Welcome Operators” on August 27 and described Zero Company as a finished Star Wars tactics game now ready for players. The title is available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

The actionable change: pre-release speculation can now be replaced with release-build campaign, combat and support information.

What the launch material confirms

ModeSingle-playerNo online co-op, competitive multiplayer or split-screen.
PlatformsPC · PS5 · Xbox Series X|SSteam is native and does not require the EA App.
CampaignOperations + Tactical MissionsSome choices affect bonds and side missions.
DifficultyFour levelsStory, Normal, Hard and Expert.
PermadeathDefault onIt can be disabled before the campaign starts.
New Game+Not at launchSome customization unlocks appear on later playthroughs.

Choose campaign rules before pressing Start

Permadeath and Beskar Mode cannot be changed after a campaign begins. With permadeath enabled, an Operator who accumulates three injuries is permanently removed. Hawks instead causes an immediate mission failure when defeated.

PC players should also know that Steam is native, 21:9 ultrawide is supported, and controllers still require keyboard input for some text fields. EA says the game is not Steam Deck Verified at launch.

What is still unannounced

EA does not currently announce DLC or a post-launch roadmap, and there is no official mod support plan. The FAQ also says there are no plans for additional monetization or microtransactions at this time. Those statements describe the current launch position, not a permanent promise about every future business decision.

What players should do next

  1. 01
    Choose difficulty and permadeath deliberately

Changing either later requires a new campaign.

  2. 02
Learn AP before copying a build

Every Operator has three AP, and weapon class changes attack cost and range.

  3. 03
    Build by mission role

Cover access, control, damage and recovery before chasing a tier list.
