Survival first, then useful damage
The fastest set on paper is slow if it turns one failed hunt into three. Start with enough defense and comfort to keep attacking, then replace convenience with damage only when your execution supports it.
Prototype boundary: exact armor-piece lists will be published after a fresh-start Ver. 1.041 crafting pass confirms material cost and unlock timing.
Four build checkpoints
| Stage | Job | Prioritize | Avoid |
|---|---|---|---|
| First region | Learn without carting | Current defense · recovery comfort · one useful weapon skill | Rare-drop farming |
| Cross-region | Reduce friction | Status answer · mobility or stamina comfort · weapon upgrade | A full set for every monster |
| High Rank entry | Replace Low Rank gear | High Rank defense · core weapon skill · flexible slots | Optimizing obsolete pieces |
| Stable High Rank | Create a dependable base | Consistent damage · survivability · cheap alternatives | God-roll assumptions |
Every published build will show
- Version, progression checkpoint and intended weapon.
- Weapon, armor, charm, decorations and complete skill total.
- Required materials with direct links to their source pages.
- A low-RNG alternative and the first piece to replace.
- The hunt or training check used to prove the build does its job.
Know when to move on
Upgrade when your weapon falls behind the current target, your defense turns normal mistakes into carts, or a newly available skill materially changes your weapon loop.
